Whether you’re beginning with a Lime & Lily invitation suite or looking for a beautiful finishing touch to stationery you’ve already selected, I create the details that make your celebration feel entirely your own.
Calligraphy can be a beautiful part of your invitation suite, a finishing touch on your wedding day, or an experience your guests remember long after the celebration.
Give your invitation suite a beautifully personal first impression with hand-addressed envelopes, written in the calligraphy style and ink color that best complements your stationery.
Add handwritten details directly to your stationery—from invitation wording and names to menus, place cards, escort cards, and other paper goods.
Carry your stationery story through to the celebration with handwritten place cards, escort cards, signage, table details, and more.
Create an experience for your guests with on-site personalization, including calligraphy, engraving, and foiling. From cocktail-hour keepsakes to personalized gifts, each piece is created while your guests watch.
Some celebrations call for more than beautiful lettering. Original artwork brings another layer of personality to your stationery, creating a visual thread that can begin with your invitation and continue throughout the wedding.
From hand-painted venue illustrations and meaningful places to botanical details, custom motifs, and other personal elements, artwork is created specifically for your celebration and thoughtfully integrated into your stationery design.
A custom monogram or crest can become the visual signature of your wedding.
Designed around your initials, family story, and personal style, these meaningful details can be incorporated into your invitation suite and carried throughout your celebration—from envelopes and paper goods to napkins, signage, cups, favors, and beyond.
Created to be beautiful now and meaningful long after the wedding day, a custom crest is one of those details that can truly become part of your story.
For weddings, welcome parties, showers, and special events, I offer live calligraphy, engraving, and foiling to personalize keepsakes and gifts while your guests watch.
From handwritten names and initials to custom details created on-site, each piece becomes a one-of-a-kind memento of the celebration.
Live event services are available for select events and can be customized to fit your celebration.
Angie is one of a kind and SUCH a talented calligrapher! She took my tricky request and ran with it with grace and kindness! I cannot recommend Lime & Lily Calligraphy enough for your stationery and calligraphy needs! Ten Stars!
These are some of my most popular styles. Please reach out if you have something in mind, but don’t see it pictured here. Most of the time I can accommodate the style you like. Similarly, I am often able to write in a style that matches your invitation.
Share your vision, quantity, timeline, and the details of your stationery or event. I’ll review everything and make sure we’re the right fit.
Once I have the details, I’ll send a proposal outlining your project, investment, timeline, and next steps.
Once your retainer is received and materials are in hand, your calligraphy is carefully created by hand with attention to every detail.
When your project is complete, I’ll arrange delivery, shipping, or pickup so your beautiful handwritten details are ready for their next chapter.
Calligraphy can be used in so many ways to elevate your event. I understand that you probably have lots of questions. Find answers to some of the most common questions here, but don’t hesitate to reach out to me at angie@limeandlilydesign.com if you have more specific questions or ideas for a project.
My specialty is traditional copperplate calligraphy and I especially love when I get to add beautiful flourishes. I also have some more modern and whimsical styles. Similarly, I am often able to write in a style that matches your invitation.
While my hand can’t exactly reproduce a digital font, I can usually get really close and can definitely adjust my hand to be a beautiful complement to your invitation. Feel free to send me photos of your suite so I can assess how close I can get. I always email a photo of a writing sample for approval when trying to match a font.
Turnaround time varies with quantities and how busy my calendar is. In general, I need 2-3 weeks to complete 100-200 envelopes. I can sometimes accommodate rush orders, so don’t hesitate to ask if you have a tighter timeframe.
I do not charge extra for black, gold, or white ink. Custom mixed ink colors incure a one-time flat fee of $25 to cover supplies and time spent mixing and colormatching.
Oftentimes, yes. Handmade and heavily textured paper takes much longer to write on and dulls my writing tools quicker than traditional papers. If you are planning on using either of these types of papers, let me know ahead of time. I usually like to receive a sample that I can test and evaluate if an additional charge is necessary or not.
Yes. I ask for 15-20% extra (sometimes more for handmade paper or tricky writing surfaces) to account for ink splatters and human error.
Yes. I love providing on-site calligraphy, engraving, and foiling services for live events. Please contact me and we can chat about your event so I can provide an accurate quote. Generally, I charge $150 per hour for on-site events.
Whether you’re looking for beautifully addressed envelopes, personalized wedding day details, or an unforgettable live calligraphy experience, I’d love to hear what you’re dreaming up.
And if you’re just beginning your wedding stationery journey, let’s start with your invitation and build from there.
