Answers to commonly asked questions
She is so creative and talented. We just kept pitching ideas and she kept hitting them out of the park! Lorrie (wedding planner | L&M Detailed Events) brought so many great people to our team, but Angie was the best!
Once you fill out the inquiry form below, I will prepare a custom proposal for you. We will chat throughout this process to make sure your proposal reflects everything you are envisioning for your stationery. When you are ready to move forward, I will ask you to sign a brief contract and provide a 50% retainer.
I’ll send you an in-depth questionnaire to gather all the important information for your wedding stationery. Once I get to know you better, I will create a mood board and sketches to share my ideas for your invitation suite. During this phase, we will also be discussing all the fun things like paper types, wax seals, silk ribbons, and envelope liners just to name a few.
After you approve your sketches, the fun really begins! I’ll start creating paintings, calligraphy, and graphics to bring your invitations to life. You will receive a proof showing all the pieces of your suite in detail. Together we’ll work on adjustments and edits until everything is just what you imagined.
Once you love everything, I will send it to the printer. If you chose envelope calligraphy, I will start addressing your envelopes. I can assemble your invitations for you or send all the materials to you for assembly. Finally, your invitations will go in the mail. All your guests will be wowed by your gorgeous stationery and excited for your wedding day to arrive!
Curious to see what your investment would be for your custom invitations? Custom design costs are highly dependent on the printing method you choose and what embellishments you would like to include. Custom designs also include a flat design fee that is tiered based on the amount of artwork and/or calligraphy you would like to include. Below is a comparison of one of our most popular”packages” priced per printing method. Please note that I provide an individualized proposal for each custom invitation suite since each project is unique.
All our extra details are priced à la carte for your convenience. It makes determining what fits your budget a breeze. Of course, we realize that custom projects are just that, one of a kind, so we provide a personalized proposal for each couple based on your budget and vision for your wedding stationery. If you want to start dreaming about all the beautiful extras, please visit our Embellishments Page for inspiration. If you have an idea and don’t find it on our website, please don’t hesitate to ask about it. We can turn almost any custom idea into a reality.

Please reach out as soon as you know you are going to be needing a stationer and/or calligrapher so that I can block out time in my schedule for your project. Ideally, we would begin designing invitations and stationery six months before your event. Calligraphy services (including envelope calligraphy and day-of items such as place cards) should be booked when your invitations are ordered even if you are getting your invitations from another vendor.
No problem! I love addressing envelopes! It is one of my favorite things to do. I would be happy to work with you to provide this service.
Costs are dependendent on so many things, especially paper and printing methods. Each custom suite is unique, which is why I provide individual quotes. The average Lime & Lily client invests around $3500-$5000 depending on the quantity and complexity of the design. See some of the most popular custom packages.
One of the main differences is cost. Because semi-custom suites are pre-designed, there is no design fee associated with them. Custom designs include a flat design fee that is tiered based on the amount of artwork and/or calligraphy you would like to include.
The second main difference is time. Because semi-custom suites are pre-designed, they can be personalized to your wedding much more quickly than starting from scratch with a fully custom design.
One of the most saved items from a wedding, after photographs, is the invitation and program. Your custom pieces will be a true work of art and special memory of your day. I work hard to keep my pricing competitive while also in line with a high level of service and quality, ensuring that your investment is matched by beautifully created stationery and calligraphy. I offer a variety of options resulting in a number of price points. I will provide time and personalized attention throughout the process that bigger companies just can’t offer, along with practically unlimited options for customization.
